They can hold heavy-weight fabrics, vinyl and layered sections of sewing projects like handbag handle connectors and piping. They have 1/4" and 1/2" seam allowance marks on the base of the clips, as well as a flat base for easy feeding into the presser foot. These work great with sergers and are easy to see and find if they're dropped onto the floor.
